High Performance Materials

Flexiroof is engineered using materials chosen for performance (6061-T6 aluminium, 99% UVA + UVB blocking polycarbonate sheet, and 316 stainless steel fasteners) to make it suitable across all of New Zealand’s coastal, alpine and urban environments.

  • Flexiroof comes in 70+ Dulux colours to perfectly match your home.
  • Its clean, minimal design allows you to see more of the sky, clouds, rain and stars.
  • Flexiroof is customisable and designed to flow as a natural extension of your home.
  • Flexiroof is compatible with integrated LED lights and retractable outdoor blinds, so you can create your perfect outdoor living space.

Aluminium

6061-T6 structural-grade aluminium

The Flexiroof structure is constructed from high-tensile 6061-T6 structural-grade aluminium. Aluminium is an exceptional construction material: it is light, strong, corrosion-resistant, long-lasting and infinitely recyclable.

See the specifications of Flexiroof aluminium here

Light, Strong & Rigid

Aluminium has a powerful strength to weight ratio, meaning it's strong and also very light. Having an aluminium structure means Flexiroof puts minimal weight stress on your house and deck, so both your shelter and your existing structures stand the test of time.

The Flexiroof system uses 6061-T6 aluminium. Aluminium tempered to T6 has very high tensile strength, making Flexiroof aluminium extremely strong and resilient. Aluminium has minimal deflection, meaning it is very rigid and doesnt sag under load in the same way as other construction materials. Flexiroof is rated for up to 1.5 kPa snow loads (150kg of load per m²), making it well suited to handling snow loads in New Zealand's alpine climates.

Corrosion Resistant

Aluminium is naturally corrosion resistant, which means that Flexiroof won’t rust, even in coastal areas. The Flexiroof system uses a 6106 alloy, a structural-grade alloy known for its ability to withstand salt spray and harsh coastal air. This makes Flexiroof suitable across all of New Zealand, meaning we can guarantee all Flexiroof shelters with our 10 year warranty no matter where in the country you are.

Circular/Recyclable

The aluminium used in our Flexiroof structure is extruded locally in New Zealand by McKechnie Aluminium, New Zealand’s only recycled aluminium extruder. McKechnie is Toitū carbon reduce certified; they recycle 100% of waste aluminium, which is contributed directly back into their extrusions, including Flexiroof.

Polycarbonate

Flexiroof uses Eurolite 3™polycarbonate roofing; lightweight, incredibly strong, and designed for New Zealand conditions. UV-stabilised for long-term performance, with a subtle grey tint that softens light while maintaining clarity.

Lightweight & High Strength

Up to 250 times stronger than glass and significantly lighter, Flexiroof reduces the load on your home while delivering exceptional durability.

Stainless Steel

The Flexiroof system uses 316 stainless steel fasteners, the highest standard for outdoor construction.

316 stainless steel  (also known as ‘surgical steel’) is solid all the way through. It remains bright and clean overtime, and has the flexibility to move slightly with temperature changes without cracking.

Using 316 stainless steel fasteners means Flexiroof stays strong and enduring in coastal environments.

Durable in harsh Conditions

UV-protected to maintainstrength and clarity in both direct and reflected sunlight. Built to handle NewZealand’s demanding environment.

UV & Heat Protection

Blocks 99.9% of UVA and UVBrays, with noticeable heat reduction, creating a more comfortable outdoor spaceyear-round.

Flexible by Design

Working with ThermaAssist™ technology, this eliminates noise and reduces stress on the structure.

Efficient Water Management

The engineered sheet profilenaturally channels water away from joins and into the integrated gutter system.

Transform your outdoor space with All-Weather Protection.
