Flexiroof sheets are clamped, not pierced. Locked securely within the Tiny Arch™ rafter system for a seamless, watertight finish.
Water is channelled naturally through the centre of each sheet, away from joins and edges, keeping your space dry year-round.
Every connection uses 316 stainless steel fixings and Tiny Arch’s thermal management technology to stay tight, durable, and maintenance-free.
No leaks. No fuss.
Flexiroof uses Eurolite 3™ 3 mm polycarbonate, sourced from Brisbane, Australia — up to 250 × stronger than glass and 15 × stronger than acrylic (Perspex™).
This premium glazing material delivers long-lasting clarity, dimensional stability, and protection from New Zealand’s harsh UV environment, blocking 99.9 % of UVA & UVB rays.
Combined with Tiny Arch™ thermal management, the sheets resist cracking, creaking, and warping — ensuring beauty and performance endure, year after year.
Engineered for New Zealand’s most demanding conditions, every Flexiroof shelter combines structural-grade 6061-T6 aluminium framing with interlocking polycarbonate sheet technology.
Wind Performance
The Tiny Arch™ locking system forms a continuous rafter-to-sheet connection, dramatically reducing uplift forces. When installed to Flexiroof specifications — including correct footing and fixing requirements — the system is engineered to withstand wind pressures in accordance with NZS 3604:2011 up to Very High wind zones. That’s proven reliability for coastal, elevated, and exposed suburban sites.
Snow Load Performance
Flexiroof’s dual-extrusion rafter profile evenly distributes loads across the structure. The system has been assessed for snow loads up to 1.5 kPa, typical of alpine environments such as Queenstown, Wānaka, and Tekapo.
Each Flexiroof is built from 6061-T6 aluminium, heat-treated for exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, and durability — the same alloy used in marine, aerospace, and architectural applications.
Extrusions are produced locally by McKechnie Aluminium, New Zealand’s only extruder with an in-house remelt casthouse. Over 80 % recycled content and Toitū carbonreduce certification confirm a low-carbon, sustainable process under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality and environmental standards. Every shelter is backed by a 15-year product warranty, with confidence built on nearly 15 years of in-market performance nationwide.
Designed for New Zealand’s coastal, alpine, and urban environments:
● 6061-T6 aluminium — structural-grade, lightweight, and highly corrosion-resistant.
● 316 stainless-steel fasteners — marine-grade, resistant to salt and moisture.
● Eurolite 3™ polycarbonate sheets — virtually unbreakable, UV-stabilised, and flame-resistant.
Together, these materials ensure Flexiroof won’t rust, warp, fade, or fail — maintaining strength and beauty for decades in even the toughest conditions.
